Mitchell Norton

A tough and reliable point guard, Mitch is recognised for his ability to find gaps in the defence and his finishing ability at the rim.

Mitch Norton debuted in the NBL in 2011 playing for his hometown team the Townsville Crocodiles. In 2013, Mitch proved himself a pivotal part of the team, being awarded with the team’s defensive player of the year award for the 2013-2014 season as well as receiving the clubs Player’s player award.

The 2016-17 season saw a change of scenery for the point guard as he took his talents to the Illawarra Hawks. Mitch and the Hawks had an impressive season falling just short in the Finals. 

Mitch would go on the represent the Australian National team in the 2017 Asia Cup where the team won the gold medal and claimed gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

Following his International success at the Commonwealth game, Mitch signed a three-year contract with The Perth Wildcats, capturing back-to-back NBL Championships in 2019 and 2020.

In 2021, Mitch signed a new extension with the Perth Wildcats where he continued to be a tremendous leader on & off the court.

After 5 seasons with the Perth Wildcats, Mitch signed with the Brisbane Bullets for the 2023/24 NBL season and has extended his agreement to the end of the 2026/27 season.
