Seen as the future of Australian cricket, Cameron Green is one of the most talented all rounders to hit the Australian cricket scene.
Born & raised in Western Australia, Cameron was contracted as a 17-year-old schoolboy & it didn’t take him long to make an impact, capturing an incredible 5 for 24 in his first-class debut. Originally selected for his bowling, Cameron displayed excellent technical batting skills & an ability to translate that into runs. In 2019/20 Cam made his maiden first-class century against Queensland, where he scored 87 no & 121 no. This runs spree continued scoring another two more centuries before posting a career-best 197 from 438 balls against NSW in October 2020.
Camerons’ impressive all-round play led to his first international call-up for the Australian ODI & T20 squads against India. Cameron continued to impress in the shorter forms leading to being named in Australia’s Test side. Making a half century in each of his first four test series, Cameron established him as a solid batter for Australia. It was in late 2022 that Cameron solidified himself as one of the best all-rounders in Australia, taking his maiden five-wicket haul against South Africa at the MCG & going on to score his maiden test century in India in March 2023.
