A sharpshooting shot creator Abbey is a young guard with explosive speed and ball handling ability.
Helping Australia to the Gold medal at the FIBA U16 Oceania Championship in 2011, Abbey is establishing herself as one of the best young guards in the country.
Beginning her professional career as a young 19-year-old, Abbey signed with WNBL team the Canberra Capitals in 2014 where she had four seasons. In 2018, Abbey made the move to the Bendigo Spirit where she shot 41% from 3pt range and averaged over 10 points per game for the 2019/20 season.
During the 2020 offseason, Abbey made the move to the Adelaide Lightening where she looks to improve her game and push for a spot with the Australian Opals.
In 2021, Abbey was named in the Opals team for the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup in Jordan, where she helped the team claim the Bronze Medal.
Off the back of a successful Opals campaign, Abbey signed with the Bendigo Spirit for the 2022/23 WNBL season. In 2023/24, Abbey was nominated for the WNBL Sixth Woman of the Year award.
