Ben Madgen
The sharpshooting Guard, Ben Madgen was and forever will be known for his incredible work ethic, tenacity, and basketball IQ.
Making his professional debut for the Sydney Kings in the 2010/11 season, Ben made an immediate statement and was awarded the NBL Rookie of The Year award.
In the 2012/13 NBL season, Ben was the NBL leading scoring and won the NBL Most Improved Award and was named All NBL First Team.
After five seasons playing in the NBL, Ben moved overseas where he signed with Belgium club VOO Wolves Verviers-Pepinster. It was a tremendous debut, averaging 20 points per game.
In 2016, Ben made his next move to Lithuania where he played for Lietkabelis Panevėžys helping the club reach the LKL Finals as well as the Lithuanian Cup Finals. The following season he joined rivals Lietuvos Rytas where he once again led the club to the LKL Finals as well as the Lithuanian Cup Finals.
After two successful seasons in Lithuania, Ben moved to Germany signing with the Crailsheim Merlins before returning home, joining South East Melbourne Phoenix for the 2019/20 NBL season.
In July 2020, Ben Madgen announced his retirement, ending the chapter on what was a remarkable professional career, both domestically and internationally.
