An incredible all-round talent, Ally Wilson knocks down and creates shots as well as provide defensive stops.
Introducing herself to the professional basketball world, Ally made her debut in the 2010/11 WNBL season for the Adelaide Lightning.
Throughout her first WNBL season, Ally made a great impression on National Team scouts earning a spot in the Australian women’s FIBA Oceania Junior Championships squad in 2012 where the team would go on to claim the Gold medal.
In 2013, Ally once again represented her country at the FIBA U19 World Championships in Lithuania. Another impressive tournament saw Ally and the Australian squad finish third, winning the bronze medal match.
The 2013/14 WNBL season saw Ally take her talents to Townsville to represent the Fire. A breakout season saw her named Rookie of the Year award for the WNBL with Townsville winning the championship.
After two seasons in Townsville, Ally signed with the Sydney Uni Flames in 2015 where she would go on to become a two time WNBL Champion in the 2016/17 season. Ally has returned home to the Adelaide Lightning for the 2020/21 WNBL season.
In 2021, Ally signed with WNBL side Bendigo Spirit where she has become one of the best facilitating & scoring guards in the league. In the 2023/24 season Ally averaged 12.1 points, 5 assists & 4.8 rebounds for Bendigo. Ally is also a member of the Australian 3 x 3 team that qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
